Day6: Six Flags Adventure and drive to San Diego
Six Flags had so many things we decided to continue our Adventure next day as well and enjoyed the park till evening . We started our drive towards Hilton Garden Inn Valencia Six Flags at 7.00 pm and reached the hotel around 9.30 pm. On the way we picked up some Indian food so we can have the Dinner at hotel.
Day 7: San Diego day 1: USS Midway, Space Museum and Food Truck Festival.
In San Diego we started with visiting USS Midway spending around 2-3 hours exploring this Military Aircraft carrier, it has self guided radio tour which is good way of exploring the ship at your own pace. The weather was really good so we explored the Marina and walked to Seaport Village where we had parked the Car, also we had really good fish Tacos and Calm chowder at one the restaurants for Lunch.
Next we visited the San
Diego Air & Space Museum it was good to see the Apollo 9 capsule and
Moon rock, there were other interesting exhibits.
After the museum we decided to explore the Balboa park we took a free Tram ride to the center of the park to the Food truck festival going on. There was multiple Music, Shows and other interesting activities going on which were fun.
Day 8: San Diego day 2: Zoo, Miniature Train and Fleet Science center.
We reached the Zoo around 8.30am and started with Zoo Bus Tour and explored the rest of the zoo till 4.00 pm, it was lot of fun and interest for entire family. We walked from the Zoo to Miniature train the kids had fun riding the Train that takes you around the Park. Our next stop was the Fleet Museum where we had planned to catch up one of the IMAX movies, before the movie we got opportunity to explore the various interesting Science exhibits. Fleet museum is interesting for Kids and Adults you can spend hours experimenting with Science exhibits we felt that we should have spend more time there.
Day 9: San Diego day 3: SeaWorld
We spend the entire day enjoying the various Rides, Shows and Activities at Sea-world it was lot of fun. The highlight of the day was the Sea Lion & Otter, Dolphin and Orca shows along with Kids rides.
San Diego is famous for Mexican food, we had really good Fish and Shrimp Tacos at Rubio's
Day 10: San Diego day 4: LegoLand
Again we devoted the entire day to enjoy the Rides, Shows and Activities at Lego Land with tons of Fun stuff including there new Ride Deep Sea Adventure. As it was new year Lego Land had lot of Christmas and New year decorations all over the park and they had Fireworks which was really good to see with the special glasses where it looks like Lego bricks exploding in the Sky.
Day 11: Venice beach and Drive to Solvang
We bid farewell to San Diego and reached Venice beach after 2 hours drive. We spend almost 6 hours enjoying the happening beach and local cuisine. At around 4pm we started towards Solvang where we had planned to stay for that Night at Wine Valley Inn . Solvang is beautiful town with Danish-style architecture, also due to Christmas and New year it had lights all over the town.
